Shmem can get complicated. I havn't messed with it for awhile, but you might be interested in an old code experiment of mine at SysV shared memory --pure perl

Interesting :) The shared memory operation works fine here though, it´s what pearl seems to be doing with the buffer that is a touch exciting :)	[reply]
