Well if I don't run:

cpan> o conf build_requires_install_policy yes
cpan> o conf prerequisites_policy follow
[download]

I have to sit there and hit <enter> all day, unless you have an alternative answer :)

If you're not changing the configuration file, then you should be getting an error message If you are changing the configuration file, then you need to do it only once If you are changing it but you need to do it every time, then somebody else is also changing it after you change it I suggest you figure it out :)	[reply]

I have to sit there and hit `<enter>` all day No, you don't. You said you use `o conf commit` and that nothing changes the settings back, so `o conf build_requires_install_policy yes` and `o conf prerequisites_policy follow` are no-ops after the first time.	[reply] [d/l] [select]

Hi Ikegami Ok, cool, so I just don't need the `o conf commit`. That's great. I just put it in because the cpan info message asked for it. Anyway thanks again. It's the automation that I really wanted. Steve	[reply] [d/l]
