    After looking at the rest of semi's code, how can you divine the intent of any statement? Perhaps best to go by what is explicit.

      By asking him? As I did.

      If comparison wasn't his intent, then he'll perhaps inform us of what it was.

      If it was his intent, then by drawing his attention to it, he might spot his own mistake.
