Oh, I see. I was looking at the documentation for version 0.1:

which was the first hit that came on Google. I now see that I should be using the doc for version 0.3:

That seems to be a bloody good reason to not use Google to look-up perl documentation. Use perldoc.perl.org for core perl search.cpan.org for CPAN modules local versions of the above via perldoc both those sites allow you to choose which version of a module to view. perldoc shows you the docs of whatever version you've got installed. Better still (IMO), why not use an editor that supports perl documentation look-ups? There's plenty of them around.
