DBD::mysql driver could not installed

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Perlmonks,
perl-DBD-MySQL-3.0007-2.el5.i386.rpm for CentOS doesn't install mysql driver properly for perl 5.10.1.
The rpm points to perl 5.8.8 ?
How can I install DBD::mysql in CentOS for perl 5.10.1?
Please advise.

Please find the error messsage, when I tried to connect

install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC (@INC 
+contains: /path-for-perl/perl/lib/5.10.1/i686-linux ....
