Why is PerlMonks not mentioned on the new Learn Perl Site

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.

I noticed that the Learn Perl section of perl.org has been reworked and relaunched recently. I was surprised to see that under the "Where will I find an answer?" PerlMonks is not listed as a resource. The page lists StackOverflow, blogs.perl.org and, oddly, a few of the news sites as places to get answers about Perl.

PerlMonks is still listed under 'Community' on the, I guess now, older part of the main perl.org site but I'm a little confused why 'they' decided not to list a site that's been helping people learn Perl for ??? years.

Thank you for pointing this out! I suspect that it is just an oversight. I have submitted a pull request, mentioning your node, and including a change to add PerlMonks to FAQ and to the "Related sites" sidebar. https://github.com/perlorg/perlweb/pull/28	[reply]

I thought it would be helpful to include the link to the Community page, which you were referring to. At first I thought you confused the "Perl Mongers Group" (pm.org) with "Perl Monks" (perlmonks.org). Also, their "Related Sites" points to perlmonks.com instead of perlmonks.org, which I'm not sure it should. Demize	[reply]

Note also that PerlMonks, the site/community, is canonically written "PerlMonks", not "Perl Monks". (Not that it matters, really...)	[reply]

The same reason you dont' go to reddit.com/r/perl for too much. There's some serious people, a lot of people who are new and not much else. If you want a small community, perlmonks and digg are awesome (now-a-days). want big and anything else, go elsewhere.	[reply]
