I take this as a vigilant reminder...when the only tool you have is Perl (or C or Java or whatever), then every problem looks like it should be solved by Perl. Always evaluate your problem and use the best tool. ... then you have no business calling yourself a carpenter until you get a lot more tools, and anything more complicated than hanging a picture should have you pulling out the yellow pages!
