Microsoft Word Form Data

bob9115 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

How can I access data stored in a Drop-down Form Field in Microsoft Word?

Sorry if my question was rather broad. I'm new to perl and therefore wouldn't know what other types of information would be helpful. Here's my code for accessing a word document

my $Doc = $Word->Documents->Open($formLocation);
[download]

Now from $Doc, how can I reference that data?

I guess you could click on the drop-down and read it and if you read it out-loud, loud enough then everyone in the office could access the data. Could you put a little more effort into your question?	[reply]

I do not work with word documents, but after doing a quick search on cpan I did see this Perl module you might want install and use: http://search.cpan.org/~snkwatt/Text-Extract-Word-0.02/lib/Text/Extract/Word.pm	[reply]
