capturing usb/CD/DVD details

nepzraaz has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Thanks to corion for DBD::WMI. The code rocks, now I am trying to capture details of USB/CD and put it in a text file. I tried Win32::GUI for that, but the problem is if autoplay is disabled, it does not work. I would be thankful if I get some idea.
