Good object oriented module please

palkia has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi everyone

It's the 1st time I try to oo in perl, and I remembered someone recommended me about "moose",
but if I remember correctly it is considered old and got better alternatives / upgrades.
What do you recommend ?

After reading "perlootut", "Modern Perl","Moose", & "MooseX::Declare", (longest sitting ever)
I've ironically estimated that this specific project I'm working on,
only really need complex nesting and doesn't justify actual oo.
But regardless I'm sure to use oo eventually (bookmarked),
so no waist to time by any of us as far as I'm concerned ^^.

Moose isn't outdated, but there are other, light-weight alternatives. Mouse, Moo and Mo spring to mind. I'd suggest you investigate Moose, and if you feel it does too much, try the others. And there's always MooseX::Declare, it's brilliant but it comes with a large start-up time.
