    It was suggested three times in the Chatterbox that you search for "XLSX" using the cpan search page. Had you done so you'd have found Excel::Writer::XLSX.

      It always creates a new workbook but doesn't open the existing xlsx file to write/append.

      Spreadsheet::ParseExcel supports only xls files.

        So get yer finger outa yer ... and follow some of the recommendations for other modules in the modules that have been recommended to you already! Don't you want to solve this problem?
