It was suggested three times in the Chatterbox that you search for "XLSX" using the cpan search page. Had you done so you'd have found Excel::Writer::XLSX.	[reply]

It always creates a new workbook but doesn't open the existing xlsx file to write/append.	[reply]

Looks like you may have to use two modules such as Spreadsheet::ParseExcel and Spreadsheet::WriteExcel. True laziness is hard work	[reply]

Spreadsheet::ParseExcel supports only xls files.	[reply]
