bring1 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does anyone know of something comparable to PDF::OCR2 for Windows? My end objective is to rename pdf files based on a regex match within a scanned document. Any advice? Thanks!

This module uses tesseract, among other things. You could use the some of the same underlying tools within a perl script. I don't know of module which supports windows which does it all. Sorry.

Ah I remember it well... obsessively defragmenting my hard disk every week.

Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about OCD.
