vanillaboy has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, I was hoping to generate emails which will automatically block the calendar with some events with perl. The person who obtained the email doesn't need to do anything, the email will automatically block the calendar. Is it possible to do something like that? I have already done email with attached ics files but I want something better. Thanks.

Try some of these, from a related "here" that's slightly different. The previous "here" doesn't provide what OP sought; bear wittness, from the docs:

"At present only read operations are supported"

In any case, I would not like having someone writing (re-writing?) my calendar by email, without my knowledge or intervention.

"Hey, you're late for that meeting I said you'd attend, without asking you....."

Hey, is it possible to block other people's calendar by just sending the email? The appointment I would like to send is just like a reminder. I have seen people sending that kind of email to my email by using outlook. It works but I am trying to implement that in Perl. Any idea on that?

Hey i checked the module, it seems like i need admin access to the mail server to do that right? Well, I don't have the access, thanks for the reply though, any better idea? Thanks
