To me, the easiest way to go about this seems to be to find whatever script is outputting the messages you want to capture and have it do the emailing instead of just printing to STDOUT. I can't think of a good way to 'listen' for an event like that in a terminal... | [reply] |
I know the program that is doing the sending but I cant edit it.. I also have to have the message sent to the terminal so someone can see it but also see the message and email it. This is so someone doesn't have to stand in front of the terminal and wait for messages.. it would be emailed to a iPod touch or some such.
