pressing buttons in HTML files

aj2709 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi all, i am simulating some tests through perl where the script has to go to some particular web pages,select one option out of many(string based search will do here)on one page and pressing buttons..i am not sure can perl do it and how. Googling is not helping since i am novice and do not know the keywords. Please help. AJ
