    I found this module Archive::Any on cpan with no dependencies but i do not know if it sipports rar

      It has no direct dependencies on archive-modules because it relies on plugins to provide the functionality to (un)pack the archive. You will still need the underlying archive modules which will be called through Archive::Any::Plugin, i.e. Archive::Rar in this specific case.
