Net::Pcap prob

perlsyntax has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I get this error message and i do got the libpcap-devel install and can't get to install from cpan here the error message

What part of the error message do you have a problem with? `You appear to lack the pcap(3) library.` [download] Please read it and install the corresponding packages.	[reply] [d/l]

I do got the libpcap-devel and libpcap-devel transitional package to so i not sure what going on here.	[reply]

The next line of the error message says: `If it is installed in a non-standard location, please try setting the +LIBS and INC values on the command line.` [download] What part of this error message have you tried and how did it work for you? If you already tried the complete instructions of the error message, please say so, and describe your exact situation (OS, version, installed package, output) instead of letting me walk you through reading the error message.
