vit has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks,
Could anybody give me a link or a code in Perl 5 for Peter Norvig's spelling corrector.
There is one written in Perl 6
http://www.riffraff.info/2007/5/20/a-spell-corrector-in-perl6-part-3
I do not think Perl 6 became popular. Correct me if I am wrong.

    It's probably not massively complex to backport to Perl 5. There are gather/take implementations on CPAN you could use.

    It hasn't yet.

    perl -E'sub Monkey::do{say$_,for@_,do{($monkey=[caller(0)]->[3])=~s{::}{ }and$monkey}}"Monkey say"->Monkey::do'
