Peter Norvig Spelling Corrector in Perl 5

vit has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks,
Could anybody give me a link or a code in Perl 5 for Peter Norvig's spelling corrector.
There is one written in Perl 6

I do not think Perl 6 became popular. Correct me if I am wrong.

It's probably not massively complex to backport to Perl 5. There are gather/take implementations on CPAN you could use. I do not think Perl 6 became popular. Correct me if I am wrong. You don't need to use a gather/take implementation for that. You can just use an array in an outer scope, and push to it instead of calling `take`. gather/take does add laziness in Perl 6, but it doesn't seem necessary in this script.
