Installation of Fuse

morgon has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,

I would like to understand why I could not install Fuse via cpan nor via cpanm (I suceeded in installing it manually):

> cpan Fuse

It is the first module in a long time that failed to install via the cpan-shell. And cpanm (that I have little experience with) seems to use a wrong url.

Please enlighten me what I would need to do to fix this.

According to CPAN Testers, the rate of a successful installation is miniscule: `PASS (3) FAIL (137) UNKNOWN (300)` [download] I realize this doesn't answer your question, but there should be no surprise that there are problems installing.	[reply] [d/l]

For some reason `Fuse.pm` wasn't indexed, if you look into http://www.perl.org/CPAN/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz, you will only find that `test/helper.pm` was indexed from Fuse-0.14.	[reply] [d/l] [select]
