It is much easier to use the right tool if you just ask Perl which tool to use, for example:

C:\> perl -V:make
make='dmake';
[download]

It is much easier to use the right tool if you just ask Perl which tool to use.... Which is often irrelevant on ActivePerl since most folks don't have microsoft compiler installed, so they need to use dmake which activestate provides with mingw compiler	[reply]
