Other than the advice moritz has already given, you could run perl from a USB device, meaning that it wouldn't have to be installed on the computer, see PortableZIP edition. Since you are for some reason opposed to creating a stand alone exe I think your alternatives are going to be limited.

In addition to the Strawberry Perl PortableZIP edition, you could get an entire WAMP stack that includes a web server too. I really like XAMPP. Its perl is only 5.10, though, so won't be as featureful as the Strawberry Perl or some of the options listed at the Wikipedia Comparison of WAMPs	[reply]

Agreed, another possible alternative but since ckj hasn't specified what the scripts in question do, this may not be suitable.	[reply]
