My interest is in replacing USB CDC (serial emulation over USB) devices by using the USB bulk transfer capability. Is this supported in Perl? Can somone point me in the right direction?

Although there is interest in Linux applications, my immediate interest is in support on Windows systems (XP and later). Thanks

    Basically, no. Perl is relatively unsuitable for directly talking to USB devices. It's usually better to use the device drivers your device vendor or OS vendor provides you with, and to talk to that device driver using Perl. Also see basic serial and USB access.
