Hi,
Yes, I'm trying to do this via Strawberry.... here's how I go about it:
- Open up a terminal (Start -> Run -> Open "cmd")
- Then type "cpan PAR::Packer"
It asks if I want to prepend some other dependancies, I always type "Y" and eventually crashes. The last dependancies on the list that it was trying to install were File::Spec and Perl::OSType
... Strangely enough I've managed to install PAR::Packer on a linux machine with no hassles whatsoever, but Win32 & 64 are killing me.

I've installed PAR::Packer on Strawberry v5.12.3, Windows XP SP3 with no problems. There should be some more information as part of this cpan session which may help diagnose the problem. If you can post this (using code and readmore tags please) perhaps someone can see what's failing and suggest a fix.

Hi. I dont even know where to find a diagnostic file, log file or anything of the sort. I've tried looking through the folder tree for anything with a datestamp around when I last tried - the closest I got was a file called "histfile" , which is empty. Any suggestions? (Surely someone here will know where to locate a diagnostic file)
