Thanks for the advice (sorry about your legal troubles, BTW). Anyway, I'm not too worried about that - it's a company-sanctioned project, everyone "higher up" I've talked to thinks it's a cool hack, and as long as what I'm trying to accomplish works and doesn't take me a month to put together, everyone will be happy ;)
No links to a Perl TCP redirector though, I see :(
