Eradicatore has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm looking for information on how to change the file properties of windows files. I want to set the "hidden" property to be exact. Also, I am looking for more information than just "use win32::api", such as *how* to use win32::api explicitly. I tried looking up information on that and didn't get very far. Thanks!!

The module Win32::File, which is part of the libwin32 distribution, allows you to manipulate any of the Win file attributes. It is available on CPAN.

If you have the ActiveState distribution, you probably already have Win32::File installed.

and as for the part on as *how* to use win32::api explicitly, or any other module you install, you can always run to perldoc. Just do a perldoc win32::api after you install, and a full documentation, hopefully, will be available with the distribution.
