PerlFAQ 8 suggests the following answers to the question, "How do I do fancy stuff with the keyboard/screen/mouse?", depending on the system you are on: Term::Cap (for both keyboard and screen) Curses Term::ANSIColor (It also suggests Term::ReadKey, Term::ReadLine::Gnu, Term::ReadLine::Perl, and Term::Screen for working with the keyboard, as well as Tk, Wx, Gtk2, and Qt4 bindings for working with mice.) If you are working in a GUI, then you may consider one of the bindings listed above, or perhaps one of the Win32::* modules (such as Win32::Console). Hope that helps.	[reply]

It has nothing to do with Perl, but screen allows you to split a terminal window. Default key binding for this is `C-a S`, but you still have to read the manual if you haven't use screen before.	[reply] [d/l]

How exactly would that work. Sorry I am new to this. In vim (vi improved) command mode, type `:split` [download] Change the active section with `<Ctrl>w<Ctrl><w>` in command mode.	[reply] [d/l] [select]

How exactly would that work i.e. If you're using emacs pulse both the keys control+X, release, and then pulse "2"	[reply]

Use Komodo IDE, Padre or one of the other IDEs available that support Perl. True laziness is hard work	[reply]

If you really wanted two windows, you would have to make another one. And if you want data shared between them you can use a pipe or a socket.	[reply]
