Trimbach has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does anyone have any experience using the Code Charge IDE? I ran across it while looking for some rapid development tools (yeah, I know, as if Perl wasn't rapid enough. :-D) The idea behind this tool is that you provide some basic information about what you want to do (database connections, field names, functionality etc.) and this product will spit out Perl (or PHP, or ASP, some others, too) that you can then tweak to finetune what you're trying to do. My company is looking for ways to streamline some of the muckwork of creating online database interfaces and it appears (on the surface at least) that this product might fill the bill.

There's a free trial period download that I'm planning on evaluating to see if it'll work for me, but I was wondering if anyone else had any opinions. If the product really sucks I don't want to waste my time. Of course, if no one's used this I'll post an evaluation once I get through playing with it.

Thanks a bunch!
