The problem is which GNU/linux -- yesterday or today. And tomorrow they'll be another one vying for attention.

Ditto: command shell; window manager; app manager; ...

The real problem is the fragmentation.

With the rise and rise of 'Social' network sites: 'Computers are making people easier to use everyday'
Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.

    Linux is like marmalade; just pick one and try it. If you don't like the taste, then you can buy a different brand for a couple of quid.

      I bet you can't find this many types of marmalade. (Which as it happens I dislike also.)
