Hi,

well - I hope this is the right place for this node. You know, I looked at "the PerlMonks guide to the Monastery" and see there... no description of "Perl Monks Discussion". Strange. So now I have 4 choices:

Guess what choice I decided for? :-)

And while Iīm at it, shouldnīt there be a reference to the author or maintainer within these HowTo documents?

Bye

First, by naming your node "Perl Monks Discussion", you broke links to the real Perl Monks Discussion. I retitled your node when I noticed this.

Now, at the top of Perl Monks Discussion I see:

This area is for discussion relating to this site. If you're looking to ask a question about a Perl problem you should go to the Seekers of Perl Wisdom page.
While in Site How To (which is linked as "Where do I post X?", though with a broken "#wheredoipost") I see:
Perl Monks Discussion-This is where users can discuss features they might like to see. Why the XP system kicks/sucks etc.... this is the place for site related issues.... not Perl problems.

I know that much of the site documentation is at least a little out-of-date. There is also quite a bit of documentation that has been greatly improved but that the old version is still linked to in some places. So depending on where you look, you might get quite a bit different levels of quality of documentation.

I'll let someone from the Site Documentation Clan comment on the status of work to correct these things...
