Afaik none of the vocal opponents of P6 posts here has ever contributed to either perlmonks administration or to improving P5's features.

You pompous, elitist ass. How do you know what Jenda or I or anyone else has contributed to Perl?

BTW, you still haven't answered the question posed to you in Re^4: Basic Times Table excercise (Witch Hunt):

Now here's a question: have you noticed that the monks who are most defensive about "Perl6" are mostly the same handful of most senior one +s? In other words, the ones who are most accomplished in Perl 5 and thus +have least need of the learning that the monastery exists to foster?

See, what usually happens is, when I or another monk have posted a critique of "Perl6" hobbyists freeloading on Perlmonks and the Perl community, it initially quickly gets five or six downvotes, which by definition are from the monks who are most frequently hanging around here. Then over the next few days, as the monks cycle through the halls who are not here full-time and only come by every once in a few days, the upvotes come in, slowly but surely, and eventually the initial low rep of the comment is raised, often well into the plus column.

LanX, you are aware of this! As you know I PM'ed you last week in response to your infamous "it's ours not yours" outburst, and pointed out to you that the debate is far from over, given the balanced support for and opposition to what I had previously posted (I sent you vote totals, which you can look up anyway). You must know it's true because you made sure to "consider" my OP in that thread and get it reaped with five votes and less than one hour -- can't have the 9-5 crowd seeing it, eh?

The way forward always starts with a minimal test.
