You might know that search.cpan.org provides an RSS feed of recent CPAN uploads, at http://search.cpan.org/uploads.rdf. It works perfectly well if that's what you need, but I personally find that it has too much traffic and it is hard to keep track of.

What I wanted was a feed that listed only the really new distributions, not counting the new versions of old distributions. This should result in only about a dozen items per day, which is easier to look at. I don't know of anyone else that provides such a feed, so I created my own. You can fetch it at http://annocpan.org/recent_dists.rss.

Re: CPAN New Distributions RSS Feed

Hard to keep track of? But its sorted by datetime...
I mean that, when I look at the feed, it has about 50 items, and I say "oh, too many, I'll look at them later", and then, when "later" comes, I have 800 unread items, and end up deleting everything without even looking at it. And I mainly want to know when a "really new" distribution shows up.
