Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Using the newest ActiveState Perl build I need to have Crypt::SSLeay installed to connect to a HTTPS server. Does anyone know where I can download it?

After doing a Google,I came across "ppm install http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppms/Crypt-SSLeay.ppd" but it says it's the wrong version for my build.

Can someone give me a PPM link for this? I'm on WinXP.

In the interest of "teach a man to fish": if I to go the root site (http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca), I notice that there is a link to CPAN Search. Clicking on that presents me with a nice search page. Typing "Crypt::SSLeay" into the search field brings me here, after which I click "Crypt::SSLeay" to go here. At the bottom of the page is a list of links to PPM distributions of this module.

    Happy hunting!

Use install http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppmpackages/Crypt-SSLeay.ppd. It worked for me a little while back on the newest build.

    Hope this helps.
