The net use method works fine for me. Sounds like a problem unrelated to Perl.

Net use works fine for me also . But can you net use to a cd-rom drive on any system other than your own ?	[reply]

Perhaps I should have been more specific, the net use method of gaining access to a CDROM on a remote computer on the same domain works for me, at least the last time I had to do this a few months ago. Perhaps you're experiencing some restriction, consult your sysadmin.	[reply]
