Fellow Monks,
I am proud to announce the official opening of the
JavaJunkies website. An idea sprung from a
discussion a few weeks ago has now grown into the beginnings of a real site.
Today, opening day, we have two sections to currently offer. You can ask questions and receive answers in
The Grinder (similar to the SOPW). The other section we have for your perusing pleasure is
Coffee Talk, similar to Perl Monk Discussions. (Note: Coffee Talk may have its name changed pending a final decision from the development team)
We currently do not have a voting/experience or moderation system implemented yet.
oakbox is going to begin work on the voting system this weekend. Other areas of the site, such as Documentation and FAQ, will progress as members have time to work on them.
As the site begins to flourish, we are still looking for trustworthy, intelligent, and experienced people (Java, Perl, Everything, or web design) to help with the site. If you have time, interest, suggestions, or would like to help with development, head over to
JJ and /msg oakbox or agent00013.
