I don't enjoy the troll responsesThere were no "troll responses". There was some mockery and sarcasm from a number of respondents - hardly surprising when someone regularly submits off-topic posts about a language that these respondents have long since given up on.
Far more interesting was the blatant and heavy-handed censorship that went on in the name of "reaping troll responses".
Well, at least *I* find that interesting ... though a more socially responsible person than I would probably find it downright disturbing.
To me, a troll is someone who makes unsolicited posts aimed at stirring up trouble (flame wars)... which leads me to ponder whether it's
raiph who should be accused of trolling.
Now, I don't know whether that's his motivation (I suspect it's not) and I'm not all that concerned one way or the other ... all I know is that his posts do provoke a whole range of actions and reactions that we don't otherwise see.
I'm looking forward to
raiph's next update already :-)
Cheers,
Rob
