I haven't seen problems with different Perl versions.

This isn't relevant for Windows servers 2012 or newer, but of course, you need to select a 32bit Perl if the program should run on 32bit and 64bit Windows systems (Windows 2008 and the hard-to-kill Windows 7 had 32bit variants). If you pack on a 64bit system, you also need to make sure that you add the 32bit versions of DLLs like, e.g. zlib1_.dll, whereas zlib1__.dll is the 64bit version.
