I think taking CGI.pm out, is part of a government/corporate conspiracy to wrestle the internet out of the hands of the people as much as possible.

It makes it too easy to set up an independent communications hub outside of mega-corporation control.

It seems most server admins just put it back in anyway.

I don't personally like it, but I really didn't think taking it out was a good move either.
