Total newb, not a developer in any way... security guy. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: I have an XML file. If a specific tag for a specific element does not exist, then insert it inside the XML file without changing anything else within the file (eventually I need to pull the value of the tag from the table, but for now I just need to know how to approach this first step). I've most recently been trying XML::Twig, but still don't know enough to know where to start. Here's the general layout of my XML. <NessusClientData_V2> <Policy> <Report> <ReportHost> <HostProperties> <tag name="example1"> <tag name="example2"> ... What I'm trying to accomplish in logic: - If tag name="example3" does not exist, then create it - Proceed to next ReportHost and do the same I swear, I feel so mentally impaired.. struggling with something so logically simple.
