I want to thank all of you for your advice and consolation. I have thought about it all night, long and hard. And while my stomach this morning was only slightly on fire, I took that as a good sign. :)
I have decided to take on the web app project, but with two reservations.
1. Solid requirements document, just as every other developer here gets.
2. The ability to dev this on a linux box running apache with mod_perl. A first for this company, so I am praying on this.
Once again, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Many of you have given me advice to leave, and that has given me some courage. Heck, it is quite scary to think of leaving my first job in this industry, but you are right, I should not stay.
Thank you.
