I signed in last week after having lurked around the site for a month or so and figured for me and my perl it would be the path to enlightenment.
Well a few things strike me about the site which relate to a few postings recently.
I went to school in an old monastery the nicest part of which was the cloisters. This is where the novices were taught the basic premises of calligraphy and scribing.
Two questions come out of this.
1. Why don't you have a cloisters which would be a good place to put up small code for newbies to work on and run the group coding projects which have also been suggested.
It would also be a good way for experienced monks to bump their ratings which seems to be a topic at the moment.
2. initiate? fair enough but initiates don't have formal tutelage (not that i neccessarily want/need it) but whats next?
Maybe I've missed something but where do i go from there? (up hopefully, but to what?)
Well anyway sorry for the length and any crashes in etiquette (point maken), thank you for the space.
If ignorance is bliss why isn't cloud9 crowded? |¬)
