say is it "somebody's feature" that 2 (two) date-time strings show in "tick tock"?

first string presumably is local time; second is, formatted w/ optional format, for a chosen time zone.

is it possible to turn off the first string? lacking that, be able to specify a format for it too (or use the same format as definded for the second string)?
