No, that is not correct. It seems like you are trying to refer to an anonymous array before it has been created. You could do: 
my $foo = [];
my $h = {
    word1 => [ 1..3, $foo ],
    word2'=> $foo,
};
@$foo = (4..7);

You could also try explaining the problem with all pertinent information in a clear and concise manner so that we could try and steer you in the right direction.
