Seems to me that xp should be capped at writeups * 10 or something similar, since any monkey (or automatic script, properly written) can log in daily and use up all the votes indiscriminately, but it takes someone with a brain to actually post without getting xp deducted. There are too many votes being applied to threads that don't deserve them, and too many saints with single or double digit thread numbers.

Another thing that might be interesting is limiting vote points to posts where the total vote count is +- 5 or more, and giving you negative points if your +- doesn't agree with the overall average. Indiscriminate voting would be much less effective like this.
