I'm not the least bit surprised. Do you download and run software recommended by a complete stranger? I don't!

The link posted in OP didn't point to the main page of the site or a download page. It linked to an executable that could potentially be run simply by a user clicking it. In this day and age, I'm surprised that there are not more people who are suspicious of links to unknown executables.
