I like Perl for:
  • legend (L.W., yaph, perlism, golf, one line RSA implementation etc)
  • community (helpfull, friendly, patient)
  • CPAN (gold mine of code)
  • TIMTOWTDI
  • short way from idea to working code
  • like in Go game - even newbie can play and win (make working code), even master can learn something every day.
