Can you guys recommend on a reliable work queue manager module on CPAN?

What I need is a relatively simple way of putting jobs into a queue (persistent on disk) and a bunch of (maybe parallel) workers pulling them out of there again FIFO style. It should be able to handle concurrent access.

Spread::Queue looks fairly interesting, has anyone used it?
