Regarding Coverity - you should be aware that:
a/ Coverity identifies potential errors - not everything identified is actually incorrect (see the python-dev thread if you're really interested)
b/ The article was correct at the public launch of Coverity but is now out of date - the latest stats are at http://scan.coverity.com/
