I've bought a (used; 2002 edition) copy of Mastering Perl/TK, as it is out of print. This surprised me, as I'd have thought that if Tk was useful it would remain in print.

Philosophically, is Tk the proper way to develop a GUI for a Perl app? Are those of you more experienced than I using Web pages (as one example) to gather parameters and display results?
