Well I guess everyone is misunderstanding me. I have NO PROBLEMS WITH THE PERL SCRIPT AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE JAVASCRIPT. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS GETTING THEM TO WORK TOGETHER BECAUSE THE PERL IS SEEING THE $ AS VARIABLES. I just want everything from the <script> to </script> to read as text.
