Hi,

1.) License: the license can be found at the footer of the script in the WebAPP sitelike in any other CMS script out there. It is also located in the forums-license are. Where else did you expect to find it? It i an open source gpl. With restrictions only applied to a very specific criminals group whom attempts to hijack the script. The script is copyrights protected by the WebAPP group which includes ALL its users. Registering as a member in the site makes you a co owner of the script.

2.) CSS problems: why make things difficult? There is a validator link there, it (the current beta version tested in the the site) works fine on firefox, ie, mac, saffari, opera and more.. I suspect that you were checking the site while it was under in vivo and in situ beta testing and probably need to clear your cache. However, I fully agree with you that one should announce the testing in the frontapage, its not enough with an announcement in the support forums as just shown by you.By the way it took me 5 minutes to load the preview page here, should that make me trusting permonks? Ofcourse not!

3.) Joining as a member: takes one more click, no need to validate your email, it logs you in automatically, if that "one single extra click" is a big problem for you, you may as well download it directly from sourceforge and other places. Ops, you do need to register in sourceforge too, right? I guess one can not trust anyone these days, aye? By the way what is the login for here on perlmonks?

4.) Security issues: what is unclear about the warning not to use any pre V. 1.0 SE? WebAPP 1.0 SE was released about half a year ago, it is a product of 1 year intensive cleaning work in which 70% of the old code (1 mb) was removed and over 1.5 mb new code was added (the total script size is now 2.2 mb). The piratical scripts out there are using the old %70 code which was removed anda has serious security issues, and this is exactly why one warns users not to use any addon or script from those sites. I can assure you that WebAPP is far safer then ANY other CMS out there.

5.) Community issues? All communities and families have their problems, WebAPP has been open both about its source and its family issues, is that a problem for you? Do you want them to hide code issues and community issues? Will that make you trusting them more?

I trust that WebAPP is the best open source Perl CMS out there.
